Quick Thoughts: Warframe The New War

I just completed Warframe's newest addition to the story, The New War, and I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it. No spoilers here.

On the one hand, I like the action set pieces and what this means for the story. I'm intrigued with how they'll be utilized in the future and in new quests. Even the boss battles are done better than their past ones giving an ebb and flow to the fight that wasn't really there before.

On the other hand, the way the entire New War quest line was presented feels very disjointed. The missions jump haphazardly from thing to thing and don't always seem to tie neatly together. Those missions are cool, but with the jumps between them, I couldn't help but think that I had missed something in the story. Characters leading into The New War are presented in one way and then change completely in The New War itself. Whether its intentional or not I can't tell.

In the end, my feelings are mixed on The New War. There's plenty I liked about it overall, but the presentation of the story is a bit disjointed and messes with the flow for me. I'm optimistic that future installments to the story will clear up some of my issues.
