The first LEGO Pokémon sets have been revealed and as you can see in the image above, we're getting Eevee, Pikachu, and the original Kanto starter trio. A reminder that these sets are aimed at adult collectors hence their prices and piece counts. Talk about a surprise to ring in the new year. Nintendo has added Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance to not only the GameCube Classics app, but also to Nintendo Music. That means we're starting the year with a forty something hour RPG and sixty-four new tracks totaling just over three hours of runtime. Certainly not a bad start to 2026.

Square Enix has released a demo for the upcoming Dragon Quest VII. As has been their recent trend, the progress in this demo will carry over to the full version. Get a jump on it now if interested.

This year marks Pokémon's 30th anniversary which, of course, this is based on the original Japanese release and not the American one. February 27th is the exact date and although currently no events have been announced, that doesn't mean GameFreak doesn't have something planned. Bad news, 007 fans. IO Interactive's James Bond game has been delayed by two months, bringing its release date to May 27th, 2026. You can see their full message about the delay in the image above. In short, it's the usual delaying for more polish. Honestly, that's never a bad thing and I'm all for it.

It's Monday so that means we've got a new album available on Nintendo Music. This time, it's for the Game Boy classic Super Mario Land. It's not a big album; thirty-three tracks at twenty-four minutes of runtime. Granted, that includes two different sped up tracks for nearly every song so the runtime is a little bit shorter if you exclude those.

It's been a little while since the last time the GameCube Classics app updated with something new, so today's announcement is a bit of a surprise. The GCN app has received one new game and it's 2003's Wario World. If you missed it like I did, now's your chance to rectify that. A new feature for Pokémon GO is beginning a phased rollout starting today, December 8th, in New Zealand. A new friendship level called Forever Friends is coming and reaching that level will unlock Remote Trades. According to Niantic, you're not going to be able to trade willy nilly though; you'll need to earn friendship points first. One more new Mega Evolution has been revealed and it's a new one for Lucario called Mega Lucario Z. Talk about a feast for Thanksgiving. Nintendo has updated the NES and Game Boy apps with two new games apiece. The NES gets Battletoads and Ninja Gaiden II while the Game Boy gets Bionic Commando and Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters. Contrary to what anyone says, the hardest stage in Battletoads is not level 3. That honor goes to levels 7, 10, and 11.

We're just a couple weeks away from the launch of the DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A and The Pokémon Company has shared some of the brand-new Mega Evolutions that we'll see. Previously, they had revealed Mega Chimecho and Mega Baxcalibur and today they brought us a trailer to show off Mega Zeraora. You can see the trailer above. On December 12th they plan to reveal more info on the Mega Dimension DLC. Whether that's more Mega Evolutions or something else has yet to be seen.

Wii Fit Plus is the newest album to be added to Nintendo Music. That's a total of ninety tracks with a runtime of just under two hours. As always, you need to have an active subscription to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack to listen to this album, and all the others available, on Nintendo Music.

Nintendo released a brand-new trailer today to give a quick overview of the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. You'll get a look at some of the areas, abilities, and NPCs you'll encounter in the game.

Earlier today, Nintendo had their big Direct for the upcoming movie sequel The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. We finally got our first real look at the movie with a trailer and the reveal of Rosalina and Bowser Jr. played by Brie Larson and Benny Safdie respectively. It won't be a lot wait for the sequel either; it's launching in April 2026.

Nintendo has released a new app for Android and iOS called Nintendo Store. Like the name implies, it will allow you to check out the Nintendo eShop as well as track your play history. In my little time with it so far, it seems like a much easier solution to see sales and merchandise. Its free, so give it a look.

The Simpsons mini event in Fortnite has begun and with it, we were given a special story animation to explain what's going on. The event runs all month with weekly events. Of course there's a Battle Pass with Simpson characters in it as well as in the store. Check out the video above to get an idea of what's going on.

If you haven't tried out Star Wars: Outlaws, now's your chance as Ubisoft has released a demo of the game for the Nintendo Switch 2. It dumps you right into the action as you track down a merc by the name of Hoss. The demo is timed so you can only explore for three hours before you're locked out. That's a good chunk of time, however, to see if the game is for you.
