The latest Pokémon Presents video aired earlier this morning with nineteen minutes of information on all things Pokémon. The first half of the video started off with info on the upcoming Pokémon World Championships and events releasing soon for Pokémon GO, Pokémon UNITE, Pokémon Masters EX, and Pokémon Cafe ReMix. The second half of the video was reserved for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet and there was a lot to unpack in the segment.

The new region is called Paldea and the legendaries are your mode of transportation this time around. You'll be able to ride them through land, sea, and air. They also showed a clip utilizing them to climb a cliff face as well.

There are three plotlines in the game although they only revealed one so far which was the traditional beat the eight gym leaders. One leader was revealed: Grusha, leader of the ice type gym.

New Pokémon were shown starting with a new regional form of Wooper that's a Poison/Ground type. Other new Pokémon shown were Fidough (a bread dog) and Cetitan (a land whale).

A new battle mechanic was unveiled called Terastal which gives Pokémon a crystallized appearance, powered up stats, and some funky headgear. Generally, the headgear reflects the Pokémon's type, but there will be Raid Battles with Pokémon where the Terastallized form is a different type from usual. This was referred to as their Tera type. One example shown in the video was a Pikachu wearing a balloon hat with a Tera type of flying. Based on the descriptions in the video it seems like Terastal is a mash up of Z Moves and Dynamax from the previous games.

That wasn't every single thing covered in the video, but it was definitely a collection of the highlights. I do recommend watching the video in the link above either way as seeing it in action is always better.
