Pokémon GO Ultra Unlock: Bug Out!

Pokémon GO's Bug Out! event starts this Wednesday, August 10th, at 10am and thanks to all the players during Pokémon GO Fest: Sapporo, it's been upgraded to Ultra Unlock meaning more rewards for everyone. Those bonuses start with extra candy for Nice, Great, and Excellent throws and extra Candy XL for Trainers at level 31 and up for Nice, Great, and Excellent throws as well. In addition, there will be special Timed Research focusing on bug catching, Pansage appearing globally, and Unown T showing up in One Star Raids.

All of that is on top of the normal rewards for the event which will include the debuts of Mega Scizor, Grubbin, and shiny Venipede. Double XP will also be active for catching Pokémon with Nice, Great, and Excellent throws and Five Star Raids will swap out Palkia with Chill Drive Genesect. A special Collection Challenge will be running during the event where you can earn the Bug Catcher Pose and 15,000 XP. Ultra Unlock: Bug Out! will be available until August 16th at 8pm.
