Pokémon Go PokéStop Update

Niantic has released an update to the PokéStops in game. Now they can be powered up by scanning them with the AR scan function. To utilize the feature you must be at least level 20. PokéStops can be powered up three times by scanning them five, ten, and twenty-five times. Niantic's post mentions that the power up is temporary and that it's available on select PokéStops and gyms.
