Pokémon GO Level Cap Increase

A big update is coming to the way you level up in Pokemon GO. On October 15th, the level cap is going to jump up from 50 all the way to 80. You can see in the image above what they've got planned for the new system. In short, Level-Up Research tasks are being moved from levels 41-50 and put on 71-80 instead and the leveling curve will be rebalanced to more quickly level up. Don't worry, this new change won't drop you any levels, but it may actually raise you up some. Of course, there's rewards if you can level up to 50 before the change takes place, which you can see below. To help you get there, an XP Celebration event is running from today until October 14th where Catch XP is doubled and winning raids and Max Battles give you an extra 3,000 XP.
