Pokémon GO January Community Day 2026

The first Community Day is upon us soon and the focus will be on Grookey. Evolve it to Rillaboom during the event (and up to four hours after) to get a special Charged Attack: Frenzy Plant. Also new to the game is the Charged Attack: Drum Beating which Rillaboom can also learn. Other bonuses during the event include 3x catch Stardust, 2x catch Candy, and for Trainers level 31 and up, double the chance to earn Candy XL. As always, there will be a paid pass available. Also be on the lookout for shiny Grookeys and ones with a special background. The event begins this Sunday, January 18th, at 2pm local time and will run until 5pm.
