Tis the season for hardware delays. Yesterday, it was announced that Valve's Steam Deck was going to be delayed until February 2022 and today brings the announcement that the Game Boy-like Playdate has also been delayed to early 2022. Playdate's delay is due to the battery not performing as expected meaning that a new supplier needed to be found and all the units updated. As always, it's better to catch an issue early so while the delay is unfortunate, it'll only result in a better product overall.
