Mewtwo Mega Evolves At GO Fest 2026

It's been a long time coming, but we'll finally get Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y at this year's GO Fest. The bad news is that they will each have their own energy to collect to Mega Evolve them. The good news is that any Mewtwo you catch at the Super Mega Raids during the event can Mega Evolve without the initial energy cost. By default, they'll come with at least one Mega Level unlocked and there's a chance it'll be two or three. However, there's more bad news. Going forward Charizard's energy will be split between the X and Y forms. On the plus side, your existing Mega Evolved Charizards will get grandfathered in and will keep their level for both forms and the existing Mega Energy you've collected will be added to the new Mega Energy. That means if you had 100 Charizard Mega Energy before you will now have 100 for the X form and 100 for the Y form.
