Now this is a release I've been waiting on for some time now. Nightdive Studios has released an updated version to the Heretic series which collects Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders, Hexen: Beyond Heretic, Hexen: Deathkings of the Dark Citadel and adds two brand new episodes Heretic: Faith Renewed and Hexen: Vestiges of Grandeur. And the biggest plus for me? They're finally on consoles with the collection showing up on Xbox One/Series X|S, PS4/5, and Nintendo Switch/Switch 2. Of course, it's on PC too, but the non-remastered versions were there before. New features in this release include online cross-platform deathmatch and co-op, updated soundtrack, mod support, accessibility options, and modern controller support to include gyroscopic aiming. The game is out now for all platforms with an MSRP of $14.99 USD. Additionally, already purchased PC versions should see the upgrade for free and the game is included with Game Pass.
