Helldivers 2 Backs Off of PSN Requirement

A few days after announcing that a PlayStation Network account would be a requirement for Helldivers 2 players on PC, Sony has said they're reversing course and scrapping those plans. When the game first released, a PSN account was required, but issues with linking caused Arrowhead to temporarily suspend it until last week when they said May 6th would see new players requiring the link and May 30th for everyone else. After complaints from fans showed those requirements would make Helldivers 2 unplayable on Steam in around seventy countries where PSN accounts aren't available, Sony relented after several days and numerous bad Steam reviews.
