FTC Seeks to Block Microsoft's Acquisition of Activision Blizzard

In a 3-1 vote today, the Federal Trade Commission is issuing a complaint against Microsoft in an effort to stop its acquisition of Activision Blizzard. In their press release, the FTC alleges that the $69 billion deal could allow Microsoft to force people to their console by restricting games from appearing on competitor's systems. They cite Microsoft's acquisition of ZeniMax as one such example where Microsoft did just that, despite saying previously that "it had no incentive to withhold games from rival consoles." This complaint is the start of bringing the case before a judge. You can read the full press release at the link above.
